All Ceramic Porcelain Crowns

Sometimes, teeth require more extensive restorations than a filling. The porcelain material we use is considered to be the most advanced all-porcelain material available. The advantages of using all porcelain veneers and crowns are many, but most importantly, we can save healthy tooth structure, and actually strengthen the tooth rather than weaken it.

The all ceramic material is used for front teeth where the need for a crown or cap has been diagnosed as the recommended option. The ability to adhere or “bond” to the tooth makes this restoration outstanding, and since no metal is used, this material offers the very best in natural appearance. By using only all ceramic porcelain, these veneers and crowns eliminate the unsightly black metal line sometimes seen at the gumline of conventional porcelain fused to metal crowns. Another major advantage is that the all ceramic material is very similar to natural tooth enamel, and thus won’t prematurely wear away the enamel on the opposing tooth, as is common with other types of porcelain.
